Mr. Dixon is in his fourteenth year at Hughes Middle School.  Before that, he taught in Arlington, Mansfield and Joshua.  He teaches beginning flute, clarinet, alto saxophone, oboe, and team-teaches the 7th and 8th grade bands Mr. Johnson.  Mr. Dixon graduated from Texas Wesleyan University with a degree in performance as well as instrumental and choral education.

Mr. Johnson received his Bachelor of Music Education and Master’s degree in Trombone Performance from Texas Christian University.  He has been teaching privately since 1997.  Currently, he is teaching low brass lessons in Azle ISD, Birdville ISD, Crowley ISD, Fort Worth ISD as well as Burleson ISD.  In addition to teaching, Mr. Johnson is also an active free-lance musician operating throughout the DFW metroplex.
